At Kinga Csilla, we’ve always believed in slowing things down. In fashion, that’s not always the easiest path, but it’s the one that feels most true. Thoughtful production, limited runs, working closely with artisans, and doing our best to tread lightly on this beautiful planet. Sustainability isn’t a buzzword for us, it’s an ongoing practice… imperfect, evolving, and deeply important. Bali has long been a special part of our story, and a place we return to often, not only for its beauty and creativity, but because it’s part of the incredible production team who help bring Kinga to life.
But alongside that beauty, we’ve also seen first-hand the growing impact tourism and waste have had on the island’s environment, particularly its rivers and waterways.

That’s why the work of Sungai Watch is so powerful. Based in Bali, they are dedicated to stopping plastic pollution before it reaches the ocean by collecting waste directly from rivers and transforming it into usable, repurposed materials. Their work is practical, community-led, and deeply hopeful, creating real change at the source.
During our last visit to Bali, Tristan and Laura were able to visit the Sungai Watch facility and see the process from start to finish. It was incredibly eye-opening to witness the scale of what they do, and the care and effort behind every part of the operation.

We’re proud to be at the beginning of our journey with Sungai Watch, and we were honoured to support their mission by sponsoring their new office space in Pererenan. If you’d like to learn more, get involved, or support their work, you can visit their website here.
