Are your items true to size?
At Kinga Csilla, we create clothing in all different silhouettes. Some pieces are generous and floaty, and some are fitted. We size each style according to how we feel it should look - though we understand you might prefer a slightly different fit. If you're unsure, contact us at hello@kingacsilla.com and we'll happily help you choose.
Orders & Shipping
What happens once I place my order?
We send it! We aim to dispatch all orders within 72 hours of purchase from our warehouse in Brookvale, NSW, Australia. In the rare event an item is unavailable (even the best inventory systems aren't 100% accurate), we'll email you and process a refund.
How soon will my order be shipped?
We work in Australian Eastern Time. Orders are usually shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we aim to dispatch all orders within 72 hours of purchase. Once your parcel is dispatched and collected from our warehouse, you'll be emailed your tracking information.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We offer free shipping on all orders over $250 AUD, worldwide. Once dispatched, estimated delivery times are:
- Within Australia: 2-10 business days
- New Zealand: 2-5 business days
- United States: 3-15 business days
- United Kingdom & Europe: 3-15 business days
- Rest of world: 3-15 business days
Please note these are estimates from dispatch, not guarantees, and can vary during busy periods or due to customs processing.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide and love sending our pieces to new homes around the globe. International orders are sent with tracking, and delivery times vary by destination (see above). Any duties and taxes are calculated and collected at checkout, so there's nothing more to pay on arrival - see below.
Which currency are prices shown in?
Prices are shown in Australian Dollars (AUD) by default. If you're shopping from another country, your prices may be displayed in your local currency, and pricing can vary slightly by region to reflect the cost of selling and shipping internationally. The price you see at checkout is the price you'll pay.
Do I have to pay customs or duties when ordering outside Australia?
No - for international orders, duties and taxes are now calculated and collected at checkout, so the price you pay includes any applicable import charges. Nothing further will be due when your order arrives; your delivery is fully prepaid. For the small number of destinations where duties cannot be prepaid, any charges remain the responsibility of the recipient, and we recommend checking with your country's tax authorities.
Will I need to sign for my parcel?
Not usually. Occasionally, when items are shipped to non-metro or rural areas, third-party couriers handle the last leg of the journey and may require a signature.
I've accidentally ordered the wrong item or size - can I change it?
We're unable to edit an order once it's been placed, so please review your order carefully before confirming. If you'd like to cancel, email us at hello@kingacsilla.com as soon as possible after ordering. Orders that have already been dispatched can't be changed or cancelled.
I entered the wrong shipping details - how can I fix this?
Whether we can help depends on how far along the delivery journey your parcel is. If this happens, email us immediately at hello@kingacsilla.com with the subject line **URGENT: WRONG ADDRESS ENTERED – ORDER #[your order number]** and we'll do our best to accommodate. Orders already dispatched can't be changed.
Returns & Exchanges
What is your returns policy?
We accept returns on full-priced items for a refund, store credit or exchange, provided that:
- Your return is lodged through our Returns Portal within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Items are unworn, unwashed and in original condition, with all labels and tags attached.
- Your Return Authorisation (RA) number is clearly visible on the parcel, sent via a traceable method.
Customers are responsible for return postage. Refunds incur a $9.95 AUD processing fee per item. Once received, we process returns within 1–5 business days.
Do you offer store credit?
Yes - and if you choose store credit through the Returns Portal, we'll add a $20 AUD bonus credit as a thank you. Store credit is issued as a digital gift card valid for 3 years, so there's no rush to find your next piece.
Can I exchange an item?
Yes, exchanges are processed within 1–3 business days of receiving your return. We can't hold items, so exchanges are subject to stock at the time your return is processed. If your requested item has sold out, we'll issue store credit (valid 3 years) instead.
Are sale items returnable?
No. Sale items are final - this includes permanently marked-down products and anything purchased with a discount code (the welcome code excepted). Jewellery is also non-returnable. This doesn't affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
My item is faulty - what do I do?
We're sorry to hear that. Please lodge a claim through the Returns Portal within 7 days of receiving your order, including clear photos and a brief description of the fault. We'll prioritise your claim and, if confirmed faulty, replace the item where possible - or issue a full refund in line with Australian Consumer Law.
How do pre-orders work?
Full payment is taken at the time of order. Pre-order dispatch is typically 4–8 weeks, though customs, weather or logistics delays can occur. Pre-ordered items can be returned for store credit or exchange only and are not eligible for a refund. If you cancel a pre-order before dispatch, a 20% cancellation fee applies.
Can I cancel my order?
Email us as soon as possible at hello@kingacsilla.com. If your order hasn't been dispatched yet, we'll do our best to accommodate. Orders already shipped can't be cancelled. Pre-order cancellations incur a 20% fee (see above).
How do I redeem a gift card or store credit?
Once you've added all your items to the cart, select Proceed to Checkout - you'll then have the option to enter your code. Please note only one discount code can be redeemed per order.
Product & Care
How do I care for my Kinga Csilla pieces?
Our pieces are made from from mostly natural fabrics like linen, cotton and rayon, and they last longest when treated gently. We recommend washing cold on a delicate cycle (or hand washing) with like colours, using a mild detergent - avoid bleach and harsh soaking. Lay flat or hang to dry in the shade rather than tumble drying, as natural fibres can shrink in high heat. A cool iron will restore a crisp finish where needed. Treated with a little care, these are pieces made to be loved and worn for years.
Why does my print look slightly different to the photo?
Many of our prints are created using traditional hand block-printing, where artisans press carved wooden blocks onto fabric by hand. Because every piece is printed individually, no two are ever exactly alike — small variations in placement, colour depth and pattern are natural, and a beautiful sign that your piece was made by human hands rather than a machine. We see these little differences as part of the charm, and a mark of the slow, mindful way our clothing is made.
Will colours vary between pieces?
Yes, slight variation is normal and expected. Our fabrics are printed and dyed in small batches, often by hand, so colours can differ subtly between production runs and from how they appear on screen. Screen settings and lighting also affect how a colour looks online. These gentle differences are part of the character of slow-made, naturally produced clothing.
