Anu, thank you for taking the time to talk to us today! You have been manufacturing for Kinga Csilla since the beginning. Our longest standing relationship. First off, for those who don’t know, where are you based?

Hey....Cheers to that..!! We are based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a city on the outskirts of Delhi.

We would love to know more about you and how you came to own your own factory?

I did my graduation in fashion designing from South Delhi. Thereafter i did job as a fashion merchandiser for some time. Then I realised I should start something of my own then I met with Akshit who is a CA. We both had business minds and expertise in our respective fields so we decided we should open our own export house and started looking for buyers. We met with Laura and we did our first order for Kinga Csilla. Thats how our business started and its been 8 years since then.

What was the size of your business when Kinga Csilla first started vs what the factory looks like now? How many employees do you have?

We did our first order with Kinga Csilla only with a small team of just 4 persons with just 2 stitching machines. And now after about 8 years we are team of around 40 persons with 30 stitching machines.

For someone who is starting their own brand, what piece of advice would you give to them?

Just believe in yourself and work hard. Most important is to gain the trust of your customers. If the customer is satisfied and are happy with your product/service, then everything else will fall in place eventually.

For people wanting to visit Dehli, where would you recommend they visit? And where should they go to eat?

Old Delhi is a must visit place for first time visitors and food lovers to enjoy the local delicacies and authentic Indian food. Places like Chandni Chowk and Chawri Bazaar has all the famous food joints and also a feel of Indian culture. Red Fort and Qutub Minar are a must visit to know about Indian heritage. Delhi Haat is another must visit place where one can find everything ranging from traditional wear to jewellery to folk dances all under one roof.

If we were to come and stay, what is your signature dish that you love to cook?

Ohh a lot of things we would love for you to taste but if one dish we have to choose we would love to cook chole bhature for you. Its an authentic punjabi north indian dish and I cook it very well ;)
